Equipment screen with Dragon Hoard

To access the Equipment screen type "E".  If this screen doesn't open right away, make sure you are not typing into a chat box.  If you are, click anywhere on the game screen, outside the chat box, and try again.

In this post are screenshots of the Equipment screen from a Dragon's perspective.  Biped Equipment screens function the same way, except that they have armor slots and there is no Hoard for a Biped.

For Bipeds, you have your equipment slots available to you from level 1, it's just the armor level that changes.  But, for Dragons, you don't have all your Scale slots available.  Every 10 levels you will gain access to a new Scale slot if you are playing a Dragon.

Why do Dragons  have a Hoard?

A Dragons hoard is very important and is vital for the hoard dependent skills and abilities to function.  A Dragon must also have a certain amount of hoard in order to qualify for the Rite of Passage Quests.
Most Dragon Abilities use hoard.  To find out how much hoard, simply view the details for that ability or skill.  It's important to keep track of your hoard amount so that you don't end up in a bad situation with no hoard to power your heavy hitting multistrike claw attacks or your powerful defensive abilities like Shield of Gold.
To build up your hoard, look for hoard-able items that drop from creatures.  Add items to your hoard by right clicking on them and then selecting 'add to hoard'.   Also, you can add coin to your hoard by clicking on the white button at the bottom right hand corner of the Equipment window.  You can also practice crafting and increase your hoard by making and hoarding bars and scales.
To view your hoard size, open the Equipment window and look at the bottom of the screen.  As in the screenshot below, you can see the "picture" of your hoard and the hoard size.  As you can see the hoard size for this Dragon is 4,518,660.

The Equipment window is where you can view your currently equipped items.  Hover over an item or right-click and select 'view details' to see the bonuses that each item provides.  In this screenshot you can see that this chest scale of has the Tooth and Claw III effect, thereby adding the word "Ferocity" to it's name.

The scale also has a Crystal socket.
Select configure crystal
To see what Crystal it has, right click and select Configure Crystals

In the screenshot below, we can see that the scale does not have a crystal in it.
Showing crystal socket
In order to put a crystal into that slot, first we will have to unequip the scale, then select configure crystals again.
Placing Crystal into slot
Here I've selected the Lasting Embers Crystal to place into the socket.  Simply Drag-n-Drop the crystal into the socket to add the crystal to the Scale.

Re equip after putting in crystal
Don't forget to re-equip your scale after you've added the crystal to it!

Chest scale with crystal in it

Now we can see that the chest scale shows the effect of the Lasting Embers crystal as the Target Effect "Burning Embers".  At the bottom of the screen it shows the details about that Effect.

Another item in your Equipment window is the Scale pack. This icon is on the bottom left of the scales. As you gain levels, you qualify for bigger and better Scale packs. These are called Back packs for bipeds.

Below, next to the Scale pack slot, is the Dragon Claw slot. This claw has a crystal in it with the 'Fangs of Fury' effect. This is the same as the weapon/tool slot for a Biped. They are just in different locations. You can add techniques to make yourself "tool" claws and "crafting scales" spec'd for crafting, just like a Biped would add techniques to a tool and use cargo gear spec'd for different crafting activities.

Emblem Slot

Also, at the upper right, next to the Head Scale slot, you'll see the Emblem slot.  Emblems don't really do anything.  They just look cool and give your character a title. You get them as Quest rewards.

One thing that Bipeds get that Dragons do not get are Jewelry slots.  If you're playing a Biped, remember that you can also add techniques and crystal sockets to Jewelry to make combat sets and crafting sets.

Cargo disks and the Equipment window

Managing travel with your Cargo Disk

To access the Equipment screen type "E".  To access the General Information Screen, type "C" to open the Character Screen, then make sure you are on the "General" or 1st tab (usually default).  If these screens don't open right away, make sure you are not typing into a chat box.  If you are, click anywhere on the game screen, outside the chat box, and try again.

Selecting the right Cargo Disk:

First, know that cargo disks are craft level specific, the higher your crafting level, the more selection you'll have.   Different disks have different speeds, cargo capacities and stack numbers.
If you are hauling a lot of just one item, you might choose a disk that only has one stack, but carries much more.  If you are planning on processing your cargo into more than one item, you might want to sacrifice some of the carry capacity in favor of a higher number of stacks, so that you don't get stuck with too much in inventory and no place to put it!
Another consideration is speed.  In the screenshot below, you can see that this high capacity cargo disk decreases the users speed by a considerable amount.  If you don't need that much carry capacity and are hauling it a long way, you might want to look for a faster disk that carries less.
In addition, some disks can be teleported with you and others cannot.  Note that teleportation rates increase with the amount of cargo you have on your disk, so you might want to weigh the added cost of teleportation against the savings of using a faster disk and running or flying to your destination.
Also, the Cargo Disks for Bipeds and Dragons are a little bit different.  While a Dragon may use a Biped Disk, a Biped may not use a Dragon Disk.  A Dragon that is using a Biped Disk will not be able to fly with the disk.  In order for a Dragon to fly with the Cargo Disk it must be a Dragon Cargo Disk.  The Dragon Disks are color coded for their faction.  Blue for Helian and red for Lunus, but no matter what faction you are,  you can use either disk.  The color coding is mostly for role-playing.
Finally, keep in mind that the default is to fill the disk first, if your inventory starts to fill first, check to make sure you didn't put something else on the disk before you get too much in inventory to swap it out.

(Note: So far I have not been able to get a scroll to work so I don't know if you can scroll teleport with a disk or not, nor have "I" seen a disk that allows you to recall with it, but I  have been told that they exist, and I would LOVE to have one myself if they do!)
In  the screenshot above you can see the users speed has decreased from 50, down to only 24.

In the screenshot below of a Dragon's speed with its Cargo Disk, you can see that both run speed and fly speed have decreased.

In the screenshot above, you can see that by clicking on the chain link, you can detach your cargo disk and leave it floating there in that spot, rather than dragging it around with you while you harvest. Leaving it in a central location of the resource field and simply running back and forth to it when your inventory fills up can save harvesting time if the nodes are close together. Also, if you are close enough to the disk, and have already started a stack of the resource on the disk, it will still automatically fill the disk first.

In the screenshot below of a Dragon's equipment window, you can see that the cargo disk is detached and the blue arrow above the link icon is pointing to its location.  Without the disk attached, the Dragon's speed has returned to normal.

Here the Dragon has placed the Disk back into its inventory.  The equipment window shows the disk icon slot empty, the chain link grayed out and the blue arrow is gone.

Locating your lost Cargo Disk

To access the Equipment screen type "E".  To access the General Information Screen, type "C" to open the Character Screen, then make sure you are on the "General" or 1st tab (usually default).  If these screens don't open right away, make sure you are not typing into a chat box.  If you are, click anywhere on the game screen, outside the chat box, and try again.

How to find a lost Cargo Disk!

In the Screenshot above, look at the bottom of the Equipment window.  You can see the picture of a cargo disk next to the icon of the disconnected link showing that the disk has been set down somewhere.  The blue arrow to the left of the cargo disk icon shows you what direction your cargo disk is in.

In the Screenshot below, you can see that when I hover on the blue arrow it tells me how far away my cargo disk is.  In this case, 0 meters, because it's obviously right behind me.

What if it the little blue arrow says your cargo disk is 10480 meters away!?  You can check on the map to find it!  Just bring up the map window by clicking anywhere on the game screen outside the chat boxes and typing the letter "M".  Then, remove all the highlights for NPCs, City names, self, group members .. etc, and look for the only dot left on the map, that should be your cargo disk.  You can hover over the dot to confirm.
